Resize images online before compression and export

Resizing is one of the fastest ways to reduce image weight when the original is far larger than the final display need. The current tool already includes resize-before-export controls.

Why resizing matters

If a site only shows an image at 1200px wide, sending a 4000px original is often unnecessary. Resizing before export can produce a major size reduction even before quality adjustments kick in.

Current options

The tool supports keeping original dimensions or capping width at practical export sizes such as 1600px, 1200px or 800px. This keeps the workflow simple and well matched to static client-side use.

Best use cases

  • Website hero images and article thumbnails.
  • Marketplace or listing visuals with known dimension targets.
  • Email attachments that only need screen-view quality.

Resize and compress in one step

Open the main tool with a resize intent and choose the export width that matches your actual destination.
